Crush Violets
c. 1997
Cover artwork by the amazing Antoinette Hancock. I chose that drawing because it felt so Ophelian.
This was a small chapbook, but one that I still hold near to my heart. The poems are all based on songs by the band Falling Janus.
This one is my favorite:

	Tenebre

	A dance with shadow
	The sound of emptiness waltzing
That I could be such absence in your heart.

	Your hands fall away,
	Your eyes fall away,
	Your lips,
	They are no longer mine.

That I could be such absence.
That I should still be here.
